Telephone Consultations

As well as the traditional face to face consultations we also offer telephone consultations.  These can be requested every day by calling the practice before 3pm.  You can ask for a specific Dr and they will call if they are available.  It is helpful if you will tell the receptionist why you require a Dr to telephone just in case they can resolve your issue, arrange a prescription/Dr’s note or signpost you to a more appropriate service.  You can always refuse to disclose the nature of the problem if you are not comfortable with this.

We will ask you to confirm your current telephone number and we do not have a caller display so you will need to have your number to hand.

As afternoon open surgery can run until well after 7pm we do not routinely take call back requests after 3pm and we cannot always promise a Dr will be available to call after surgery.  However we will try if there are specific reasons for your request, for example we do understand you may be at work, school or college and unable to take a call.
